Michael Franzese Areni Red Dry Wine 750ml

The Franzese Areni comes from the Armenian region of Vayots Dzor.  It is grown at between 4300 and 6000 feet above sea level on black volcanic soils near the base of Mt. Ararat.  The grapes are hand harvested and vinified using both modern and traditional techniques including the use of clay vessels, called Karases, as well as stainless steel temperature controlled tanks.  30% of the wine is aged in 2^nd year and neutral barrels, imparting slight oak notes and tannins.
